Clutch Cable

So…. we have fitted the clutch and the starter motor. The starter motor went in quite easily, we had to remove and re-route one of the oil tank lines to squeeze it past the tank and to torque down the securing bolts. Next was the clutch cable…………. Things get a bit fiddly here, you have to remove the housing from the tranny and fit the cable inside. (see pics). Then its just a mater of running the cable under the bike and up to the handle bars. At first we thought we had the wrong cable but after a bit of head scratching and another 10 minutes watching the DVD everything made sense. It was nice to see the clutch plates moving when squeezing the lever!! Cracked it!!

Removing the Tranny housing to fit the clutch cable... theres a big circlip to remove! You can see the dip stick for the Tranny oil

There was still some oil in the housing ...  as they pre- run the engine and box before delivery from the States

Fitting the clutch cable... some additional bits come with the kit.... more circlips to tackle
Its adjusted to the DVD, 8" play at the lever... its quite stiff but appears to be working fine.... we will find out soon enough!
