Taking Off the Rear Wheel!!

Thanks Randy... the spacer ahhhhhh!

I thought id mock up the alignment through the rear chain and sproket and I found that the chain is very close to the tyre! Im still trying to rack by brains why this is. The rear wheels ‘set in stone’ because it lines up perfectly with the fixed fender!! and the tranny only moves forwards and backwards (not side ways) Ive emailed Randy at SMW to see if there are some spacers for the rear sprocket that im missing. I just need another 1/4 "

  1. Steve Ive got a spacers on the rear sprocket (you can get these for rear discs) mine needed 2 (to line up with trans) but you then will have to space your trans sprocket.
it looks tight in your photo. Is the wheel centred (got to be) then look at adjusting your loverly painted mudguard by slotting the mount holes.
Hate to say it but thats what the dry build bit is for. Good Luck

  3. Got the email back from Randy at Southern Motor Cycle works and he said 1/8" gap between the chain and the tyre is the normal setting on this kit, so i can get this with some tweaking.... panic over!!
