  4. Hi Alex.... thanks for your mail .

Im sure you will be able to build this bike, it really wasn't to difficult. The wiring is the most complicated bit, but as long as you take your time and follow the instructions..... Tools, a good socket set, torque wrench, but nothing to major.

Hmm don't think 5k will get you a good kit, i found that 10k was the norm. You can do a deal with SMW, after a few emails I managed to get the price down... remember the tax, that was another £1500 plus the Fedex costs to deliver from US to UK.

I spent hours watching American chopper and thought to hell with it life's to short!! i have no regrets SMW were excellent, always answered my mails if i got stuck or needed any advice, any parts missing where quickly sent, the quality of the kit is excellent and the bikes now probably worth atleast 15K, Its sounds awesome and pulls like a train!

    Hope this helps,

    Kind Regards Steven Truss

  5. Hey steve, just found your blog and the bike looks great. im also interested in starting my own build and was wondering if there was any problems complying with the EU emissions laws in order to pass the msva?

    Regards,

  7. Hi Steve,

Looks great. I just built mine too (Albany Australia). Just a final question - how did you mount the fuel tank? SWMC says I need to drill holes in the frame and I expect that there should be brackets?
    Cheers
    Will

  8. Ha! I'm one of those yanks that was laughing my head off at the mufflers... until I remembered that authorities have been cracking down on motorcycle noise here in the states since about 2005 or so... :(

I'm looking at this exact build myself, been shopping for a kit bike, found this one, and came across your video when I was searching for some consumer reviews. Glad to hear it wasn't too hard for you. I AM mechanically inclined, but it's still a daunting thought to put one together myself.

    Congrats on a beautiful bike!!
