Mounting the Horn. Any Ideas!!!

Has anyone got any ideas where to mount the horn...... I cant make up my mind whether i want it visible or hidden somewhere?

Fitting the Sissy

The 'Sissy Bar' is back from the Black Smiths.... it makes a great anchor and looks cool





 

Its pulled the fender down about 3/4" to create a better gap around the wheel

Ive raked it at the same angle as the front forks

Installing the polished S&S Super Carb

I had some free time again this afternoon so I finished off wiring the coil and partially fitting the electronic ignition. There’s a section in the DVD (which comes with the kit) which helps with the 'timing'… this will be done once the bikes off the bench.

Tony came round this evening and we decided to get the carburettor on…….. I bought a Velocity Stack type filter for the carb, but Tony got the classic S&S filter out of the box and offered it up to the bike and we both agreed it looked better and will be kinder to the engine with the quality air filter fitted.

Cables attached.... they run under the fuel tank brackets.... dont bend them.... they dont like it!

There are two different cable sizes..... so you cant mess up!! There are also two different size 'Cable Guides' (see pic) ...... fit the larger one.... we fitted the smaller one first and the throttle cables were loose!



Grease all those moving parts.... the butterfly valve should open to the horizontal... full power!! CANT WAIT..

Installing the Carb was reasonably easy, (cheers Tony) ....  checking the DVD that came with the kit was necessary, (Its handy.... we are building the bike next to the study, where the computer is!). The instruction booklet that came with the Carb was also handy...there are lots of parts.......bits to fit on the filter!! The choke lever, washers, pipes, bolts, spacers etc.)

I will flush out the fuel tank and fit the fuel lines closer to the end of the build. The tanks on and off daily because of the wiring installation!!

Anyone whos after a Velocity Stack type air filter, inline fuel filter etc..... drop me a mail.

God............. I hate Wiring!!

I’ve finally got all the handlebar wires connected through to the controller.... this bunch will be hidden under the fuel tank....... my brain hurts!
